Founded in 2009, the Quebec Duck and Goose Farmers Association (AÉCOQ) unites, supports, and represents duck and goose farmers across the province. Our mission is to promote the industry and advocate for our members, while fostering growth as a prosperous, competitive, and responsible sector.
Affiliated with the Quebec Food Processing Council (CTAQ), AÉCOQ comprises seven member companies — each with its own size, market focus and, operational challenges.
The sector is largely made up of small-scale vertically integrated producers operating in specialized market niches. However, a few larger players have emerged with the capacity to serve broader, retail and foodservice channels. This diversity drives our collective ambition to expand our reach, seize new business opportunities, and introduce high-quality Quebec duck products to global markets.

AÉCOQ unites, supports, and represents Quebec’s duck and goose producers to promote the industry and advocate for our members.
Our vision is to grow Quebec’s duck and goose farming sector by promoting high standards, responsible practices, and forward-thinking policies — while ensuring consistent product quality and strengthening the industry’s competitiveness and long-term profitability.
Thanks to its distinctive logo, “Duck RAISED & TRANSFORMED IN QUEBEC,” consumers can easily identify authentic Quebec-sourced duck products in grocery stores. This label guarantees adherence to strict quality standards, product traceability, and the expertise of our member farmers and processors.
